Katherine grew up in a military family and continued a nomadic lifestyle by marrying a military officer.  She's lived all over the U.S., including Japan, Italy and Germany.  She's been to ancient cities, castles, cathedrals, grand estates, old Victorian homes, Army posts, Islands, ships, centuries old cemeteries and aged battlegrounds.  Every experience helped develop her love of history and lore, including an opportunity to put her art and historical background to good use while working as an exhibit assistant at a fort museum.

Watching her mother read romantic fiction throughout her teens and wondering why she was shooed away whenever her mother read those 'pretty' books, she finally asked to read one.  That first book was Kathleen Woodiwiss', The Flame and the Flower, and it changed her life forever.  Soon Katherine began reading every historical romance she could find.  And before long, she was making up her own endings and plotting her own characters.

Now that her children have grown, Katherine set out to follow her dream of becoming a published romance author.  Joining RWA and her local chapter, Heart of Dixie Romance Writers, was the best decision she ever made.  Since then, she's attended conferences, workshops, taken online classes, and joined: Southern Magic, Hearts Through History, and the Beau Monde.  Within her local writing chapter, she's served as the Heart of Dixie & Southern Magic PRO Liaison, The Heart Monitor Assistant Newsletter Editor and Newsletter Editor, and has coordinated the Heart of Dixie's Romance Readers' Luncheon.  She's also written articles for The Heart Monitor entitled, Hidden Treasure-Historical Truth.

Katherine has taken her love of history, the paranormal, and romance, and melded them into one.  Perhaps someday, you, dear reader, will be able to enjoy one of her books.  But until then, she urges you and writers everywhere to seek your individual journey through to THE END.
