Where has the year gone? It's so hard to believe the seasons are changing already. I love Fall, crisp autumn breezes, sweater weather, and college football. This time of year always reminds me of my youth, and apple cider and pumpkin scents assure me the holidays are on the way.
I've been writing up a storm this year. The Pirate's Duchess, my contribution to the Once Upon a True Love's Kiss box set, released in January, and then as a single title in May. The Rogue's Surrender (Garrick's and Mercy's book), the last book in my Nelson's Tea Series, released in July and The Pirate's Debt, (Markwick's and Chloe's book) Regent's Revenge Book #2, releases in September, 2016!
I'm thrilled to announce I'll be participating in the first Historical Romance Retreat in Spokane, WA, Historic Davenport Hotel, along with 40 plus other talented, bestselling historical romance authors and over 250 readers! If you're attending, I can't wait to meet you! (Don't forget I'll be the pirate!) To those who cannot attend, the event plans to be jam packed with historical thrills galore! And I've heard from a parrot, there are plans to make this event a yearly treat. Keep your eyes primed on that horizon. I'll be sure to pass along any information I can about dates and future registration information, as well as pictures of our shenanigans too.
Next up in my Regent's Revenge Series is The Pirate's Duty (Walsingham's and Oriana's story). Look for it to be a 2017 spring release. And so, I return to my writing den, dreaming up stories of swashbuckling mayhem and the type of passionate love every hero and heroine desire. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. ;)
As I sail off to my hideaway, I leave you with brilliant advice from Vice-Admiral Lord Viscount Horatio Nelson.
“Time is everything; five minutes make the difference between victory and defeat.”
Huzzah and Hoorah!
